Crossroads is the largest and most important town in Ironwood County, serving as a natural meeting point for trade, travel and local authority. Its position along several major routes connects it with Pinewood Forest, Silver Ridge, the Market District, Dry Gulch and the road north toward Northern Settlement, making it a constant point of passage for merchants, workers, lawmen and travelers.
The town is also the seat of Sheriff Jack Gordon’s authority and home to the Crossroad Saloon, one of the county’s best-known gathering places. Because of its location and political importance, Crossroads often finds itself at the center of disputes between neighboring settlements, commercial interests and outlaw activity, while continuing to function as the main social and logistical hub of the region.
