The grand opening of the Voss & Crowe Ranch marked the public debut of one of Selena Voss and Elias Crowe’s most ambitious joint ventures. Conceived as both a working horse ranch and a commercial enterprise, the property was intended to strengthen their position in Ironwood County while creating a new center for breeding, trade and equestrian activity.
To attract buyers, investors and visitors, the opening was organized as a major public event. A horse auction served as its commercial centerpiece, while a riding tournament and other attractions helped turn the occasion into a broader social gathering. The event was designed not only to sell horses, but also to establish the ranch’s reputation from its very first day.
